Astin Frazier, Christipher Miller, and Alyssa Charmaine Arrested for Robbery

At 1:28 AM on August 22, 2023, Anchorage Police mid-shift patrol officers responded to the Holiday Gas Station located at 3500 C Street regarding a robbery involving a knife.  It was relayed to Dispatch that the suspects had fled on foot; physical descriptions of them were provided.

Upon arrival officers saw two women and one man running eastbound towards A Street.  The first female, 39-year-old Astin P. Frazier, was detained first while the other two continued to run.  24-year-old Christipher M. R. Miller and 21-year-old Alyssa B. Charmaine were contacted and detained near W 38th Avenue and A Street. Miller had a large knife in a sheath strapped to his hip; officers initially removed the knife for safekeeping (later the knife became evidence).

Initial indications are that Alyssa Charmaine entered the store, removed items from the shelves, and attempted to leave without paying for the merchandise.  A customer and store employees stopped Charmaine from leaving.  When they did so, Christipher Miller entered the store, partially removed the knife from its sheath, and made statements that put both employees in fear of immediate harm. Charmaine and Miller left the store and then returned a few minutes later with Astin Frazier.  All three stole items from inside before fleeing on foot.

Christipher Miller was remanded at the Anchorage Jail on the charges of Theft IV, Unlawful Contact (he was court ordered to not have contact with Frazier), three counts of Violate Conditions of Release, Robbery I, and two counts of Assault III.

21-year-old Alyssa B. Charmaine and 39-year-old Astin P. Frazier were each charged with Theft IV..
