DanelJohn Santos Charged in Sexual Abuse of a Minor Investigation; there may be additional victims

In December 2023 Anchorage Police Crimes Against Children Unit detectives launched an investigation into allegations of sexual abuse of a minor (SAM).  On December 22, 2023, 27-year-old DanelJohn C. Santos was charged with three counts of SAM and remanded at the Anchorage Correctional Complex where he remains.

CACU detectives are aware of more than one victim and believe there may be more.  The current charges are related to victims known to Santos who had contact with them through babysitting jobs.  Santos has worked in a childcare related capacity for at least the last six years.  He’s had contact with juveniles through different programs to include online services.
