Death Investigation: 3500 Block of Lois DrivE

UPDATE, April 24, 2026:

The deceased individual discovered outdoors at the 3500 block of Lois Dr. on April 20, 2026, has been identified as 19-year-old Kelly Hunt. Next-of-kin notification has been completed.

Kelly Hunt arrived in Anchorage on January 6, 2026, and was staying at a residence in the 3200 block of Oregon Dr. She left the residence on the morning of January 7, 2026. On January 11, 2026, Kelly Hunt was reported missing to the Anchorage Police Department and her missing person’s case was assigned to detectives to investigate.

 The Medical Examiner will ultimately determine the cause of death. No arrests have been made at this time.

 “We acknowledge the loss for family members and for the community,” said Chief Sean Case. “This case remains under investigation, and therefore, we are limited in what information we can share. We ask for understanding and patience from the community as detectives continue to conduct this investigation with urgency and accuracy."

ORIGINAL: At approximately 8:56 AM on April 20, 2026, Anchorage Police responded to the 3500 block of Lois Drive in reference to a person who was found deceased outside.

The death is under investigation, and the Crime Scene Team is processing the scene. Please avoid the area and follow the officers’ instructions if you need to be in the vicinity.
