HOMICIDE INVESTIGATION: 1500 block Latouche St

CURRENT STATUS: Update

NARRATIVE: At 4:31 AM on November 30, 2025, officers responded to the 1500 block of Latouche St in reference to a shooting.                                                                                                                                              

When officers arrived, they found an adult male with trauma to the upper body. Medics transported the victim to the hospital where they were declared deceased.

The victim is identified as 34-year-old John Brittain. Next of Kin notifications are complete.

Anyone with information regarding this incident, to include surveillance footage of the area, is asked to contact Police Dispatch at 3-1-1 (option #1) or (907)786-8900 (option #0).  Police are currently following up on leads and there is no suspect information to release at this time.  The motive, and any relationship between the parties involved, is under investigation.
