HOMICIDE INVESTIGATION: 3700 BLOCK OF COVENTRY DR

APD CASE: 25-21835

DATE/TIME OF INCIDENT: July 17, 2025, 8:17 PM

NARRATIVE: At 8:17 PM on July 17, 2025, Anchorage Police were dispatched to the 3700 block of Coventry Dr. in reference to a shooting. Initial indications are that two individuals were involved in an altercation during which an adult female was shot fatally in the upper body. She was declared deceased at the scene by AFD medics. The victim’s family has been notified of her death; however, the victim’s name will not be released by APD due to this being a domestic related crime.

Several individuals were transported to the Anchorage Police Department for questioning by detectives. Police believe they have contacted everyone involved. While the motive for the assault is still under investigation, preliminary indications are that this is an isolated event and not random. This is an ongoing investigation. No charges have been filed.
