HOMICIDE INVESTIGATION: 4500-BLOCK OF FOLKER ST.

At 8:01 AM on August 4, 2025, APD officers responded to the 4500-block of Folker St. following reports of an unresponsive child in the residence. Upon arrival, officers located a female juvenile who was pronounced deceased at the scene. The cause of death will be determined by the Medical Examiner. Several witnesses were transported to APD Headquarters to be interviewed by detectives; no arrests have been made at this time. The circumstances surrounding this incident remain under investigation.

The Crime Scene Team responded to process the scene.

APD does not release the names of juvenile victims. Next-of-kin notification procedures are complete.
