Homicide Investigation near W 3rd Avenue and G Street

Update on 1/30/23:

The victim has been identified as 21-year-old Louis Talo.  Next-of-kin notification procedures have been completed.

Original on 1/28/23:

At 3:19 AM on January 28, 2023, Anchorage Police responded to reports of shots fired in the large parking lot on W 3rd Avenue between G and H Streets.  Two adult male victims were found; one was declared deceased at the scene, and one was transported to a hospital with what are believed to be life threatening injuries.

Multiple people are being interviewed; no arrests have been made. The Crime Scene Team is responding to process the scene.  The parking lot has been blocked off but there are no road closures.
