SHOOTING INVESTIGATION: 1801 Brayton Dr

NARRATIVE: There is a large police presence around the 11800 Block of Brayton Dr. Please follow officers’ instructions if you are in the area.  If you do not need to be in the vicinity, please avoid it and seek alternative routes until further notice. Depending on the situation, our response may require using a variety of tactics and tools, to include the drone.

UPDATE NARRATIVE 4:00 PM: At 11:43 AM on November 8, 2025, officers responded to 1180 Brayton Dr in reference to a shooting. When officers arrived, they found an adult male with trauma to the upper body. Officers and medics attempted life- saving measures but the victim was declared deceased at the scene.

The victim’s identity will be released once next-of-kin notification procedures are complete.

The Crime Scene Team has responded to process the scene.

Anyone with information regarding this incident, to include surveillance footage of the area, is asked to contact Police Dispatch at 3-1-1 (option #1) or (907)786-8900 (option #0).  Police are currently following up on leads and there is no suspect information to release at this time.  The motive, and any relationship between the parties involved, is under investigation.
