CURRENT STATUS: Initial Report

ROAD CLOSURES: 36th Ave is closed near Lois St. Please avoid the area and follow the officers’ instructions if you need to be in the vicinity.

UPDATE ROAD CLOSURES: All roads are now open.

NARRATIVE: there is a large police presence around the 3500 block Willow St. Please follow officers’ instructions if you are in the area.  If you do not need to be in the vicinity, please avoid it and seek alternative routes until further notice. Depending on the situation, our response may require using a variety of tactics and tools, to include the drone.

We ask the public and the media to refrain from posting/publishing photos and/or video of the scene until the situation is over. Showing tactical positions and movements in these types of situations can put the public and officers’ safety at risk.

UPDATE NARRATIVE October 24, 2:55 PM: On October 24, 2025, at 1:01 PM officers responded to 2300 W 36th Ave in reference to an armed adult behaving erratically. When officers arrived, they located the adult male, who had warrants out for his arrest, barricaded in a building on the 3500 block of Willow St.

Officers along with crisis negotiators arrested the suspect on the previous warrants.
