Women’s History Month is a time to honor women’s contributions to history, culture, and society. We cannot begin to express the immeasurable impact of the strength and brilliance that our grandmothers, mothers, wives, partners, aunties, sisters, and daughters have on our lives. We especially want to thank the women who represent the Anchorage Police Department. Their dedication, sacrifice, and hard work do not go unnoticed. To all the women in our city, state, and nation: thank you for showing up every day, even when times are hard. Thank you for lifting each other up. Thank you for your strength, courage, and inspiration. Thank you for the ultimate gift: life.
