SENTENCING: DILLON NICHOLAS SPRING

On May 13, 2025, an Anchorage jury convicted 32-year-old Dillon Nicholas Spring of 23 counts, including six counts of attempted first-degree murder, stemming from a violent attack directed at Anchorage Police Department officers.
Today, the defendant has been sentenced to a total of 210 years, with 135 years suspended. This results in 75 years to serve. The court also determined that the defendant will not be eligible for parole until 49.5 years have been served.
This sentencing marks the conclusion of a long and difficult process for APD and for the officers and families directly impacted. The courage, professionalism, and resilience shown throughout this case reflect the highest standards of our department and our shared commitment to justice.
