SEWARD HIGHWAY TRAFFIC ACCIDENT: BETWEEN SCOOTER AVE AND O'MALLEY RD

ORIGINAL: At 8:32 AM on October 23, 2025, Anchorage Police Department has responded to a vehicle fire on the south bound Seward Highway at Scooter Ave. The highway is closed at Scooter Ave going south and the north bound Seward Highway is closed at O’Malley Rd. Traffic is being diverted. Please avoid the area until further notice.

UPDATE AT 9:30 AM: One of the north bound Seward Highway lanes is now open.

UPDATE AT 12:00 PM: All north bound and south bound lanes of the Seward Highway are now open. Thank you for your patience.
