SHOOTING INVESTIGATION: 100 BLOCK OF EAST 76TH AVENUE

DATE/TIME OF INCIDENT: ​June 7, 2026 at approximately 3:20AM​ 

CURRENT STATUS: ​Initial Report​ 

NARRATIVE: At ​approximately 3:20 AM ​on ​June 7, 2026​, officers responded to ​the 100 block of East 76th Avenue​ in reference to ​a shooting​. Upon arrival officers located ​a male adult suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and is recovering.

This incident is under investigation. Anyone with information regarding this incident, to include surveillance footage of the area, is asked to contact Police Dispatch at 3-1-1 (option #1) or (907)786-8900 (option #0).  Police are currently following up on leads and there is no suspect information to release at this time. The motive for the incident, and any relationship between the parties involved, is under investigation.
