TRAFFIC ​FATALITY​: ​E NORTHERN LIGHTS BLVD AND UAA DR

DATE/TIME OF INCIDENT: ​July 28th, 2026, at approximately 12:02 AM​ 

NARRATIVE: On July 28, 2026, at approximately 12:02 a.m. APD responded to the area of E Northern Lights Blvd and UAA Drive for a report of a collision with injuries. 

The investigation revealed that a GMC Sierra was driving eastbound on Northern Lights when it struck a light post in the southeast corner of the intersection. An adult female identified as Kylie Hoogendorn, 23, was declared deceased at the scene. Two juvenile occupants were transported to a local hospital with life threatening injuries.
