ARREST: MISCONDUCT INVOLVING WEAPONS, 2400 BLOCK OF SPENARD ROAD

On May 24 at around 2:45 am, APD Mid shift officers responded to reports of shots fired at the 2400 block of Spenard Road. Upon arrival, an officer heard gunshots coming from a vehicle in the roadway. Officers stopped the vehicle and observed a handgun inside.

The investigation revealed that one occupant inside of the vehicle was on probation supervision for a prior felony conviction. Subsequently, that occupant, Jose Santiago,22, was charged with misconduct involving weapons in the first and third degrees. Another occupant in the vehicle, Kendrick Mcvay, 22, was charged with misconduct involving weapons in the first degree. Both were transported to the Anchorage Correctional Complex and remanded without bail.
