TRAFFIC FATALITY: VEHICLE VS PEDESTRIAN; GLENN HIGHWAY NEAR BONIFACE

On May 26th, 2026 at about 8:48 a.m., APD responded to the Glenn Highway near Boniface for a report of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle.  The pedestrian, an adult male, was pronounced deceased at the scene.  Evidence at the scene indicated that the pedestrian was crossing the highway when they were struck by a 2014 Chevrolet Express van.  The pedestrian was then struck by a 2009 Chevrolet Express van.

Both drivers remained on scene and cooperated with the investigation. There have been no citations or charges at this time.  The crash is being investigated by the Major Collision Investigation Unit (MCIU).

The victim’s identity will be released once next-of-kin notification procedures are complete.
