DEATH INVESTIGATION: 500 BLOCK OF W 4TH AVENUE

At approximately 5:38 PM on January 13, 2026, Anchorage Police were dispatched to the 500 block of W 4th Ave. in reference to an unresponsive adult male located outside. A passerby who discovered the individual performed life-saving measures until APD officers and medics of the Anchorage Fire Department responded; the man was ultimately declared deceased by medics. The Medical Examiner responded and released the body to a funeral home. Nothing suspicious was noted at the scene. Next-of-kin notification procedures are not yet complete.
