UPDATE 2, 8:35AM: All roads in the area of Spenard Rd., Lois Dr., and Oregon Dr. are now open. Thank you for your patience.

UPDATE, 8AM: Lois Drive and Oregon Drive are now open. One lane on Spenard Road remains closed.

CURRENT STATUS: Initial Report 

ROAD CLOSURES: ​ ​One lane of Spenard Road westbound is closed. Lois Dr. and Oregon Dr. are closed between 36th and Spenard Road. Please avoid the area and follow the officers’ instructions if you need to be in the vicinity.

NARRATIVE: There is a large police presence around the 3800 block of Spenard Road. The Anchorage Police Department is assisting the FBI, along with multiple other agencies, in an ongoing investigation.

There are no threats to public safety at this time.
