TRAFFIC FATALITY: PORTAGE GLACIER HWY

APD CASE: 25-33804

DATE/TIME OF INCIDENT: 9:18 AM November 1, 2025

NARRATIVE: At 9:18 am on November 1, 2025, Anchorage Police officers responded to Portage Glacier Hwy in reference to a single vehicle collision.

Officers responded with the Girdwood Fire Department and discovered that one male adult and two female adults were deceased inside the vehicle.

The Major Collision Investigation Unit (MCIU) is investigating the incident.

 Victim’s identities will be released once next-of-kin notification procedures have been completed.

UPDATE NOVEMBER 6, 2025: The victims in this traffic collision have been identified as 51-year-old Jonathan Quintanilla, 46-year-old Maria Sampang and 23-year-old Kaezel Saquilayan; next-of-kin notification procedures are complete.
