ARREST for TRAFFIC INCIDENT ON THE GLENN HIGHWAY ON 11/12/25:

Update on 1/5/2025: The APD Traffic Unit would like to thank the witnesses that came forward in this case to provide statements and other evidence.  The investigation has revealed that 38 year old Jonathon Grogan of Willow was the driver of a Ram truck that fled the scene of an injury collision that occurred on 11-12-2025 on the Glenn Highway near Peter’s Creek.  On December 22, 2025, a warrant was issued for his arrest for the charges of Assault 3, Leaving an Accident without Assisting the Injured, Reckless Driving, and Leaving the Scene of an Accident. On January 1st, 2026, Grogan was arrested by the Alaska State Troopers and remanded with bail set at $2,500.

UPDATE ON 11/13/25: The Anchorage Police Department, in coordination with the Alaska State Troopers, located the and impounded the vehicle; the owner has been contacted. This case remains under investigation. Thank you to the public for your assistance.

ORIGINAL: On November 12, 2025, at approximately 2:04 PM, Anchorage Police and the Chugiak Fire Department responded to the northbound Glenn Highway near the South Peters Creek exit for a report of a vehicle collision with injuries.

Multiple witnesses reported that a gray 2020 Ram truck (bearing Alaska plate: RSQSQD) was driving recklessly and caused another vehicle to crash while trying to avoid being hit by the Ram.
