SEEKING PUBLIC ASSISTANCE: FORD F250 EMERGENCY VEHICLE IMPERSONATION
At approximately 4:27 PM on December 8, 2025, the APD Traffic Unit Sergeant stopped to assist a disabled motorist southbound on the Glenn Highway on the Eklutna Flats. The disabled motorist was accompanied by what appeared to be an emergency vehicle with flashing red and blue lights. Further investigation revealed that the assisting vehicle, a white Ford F250, was not an emergency vehicle. The driver, 28-year-old Joshua Davis, was arrested and later released on his own recognizance for Impersonating a Public Servant. Davis received citations for Unauthorized use of Flashing Lights, Misuse of Plates, and No Proof of Insurance. The vehicle was impounded for further investigation.
APD is requesting that anyone who has seen a white Ford F250 with flashing emergency lights which did not seem to be a legitimate emergency vehicle in Anchorage of the Mat Su valley to please contact Sgt. David Noll, david.noll@anchorageak.gov.
