STABBING INVESTIGATION: RESIDENCE INN MARRIOTT

At approximately 3:17 PM on January 16,  2026, Anchorage Police were dispatched to the Residence Inn Marriott at 1025 E 35th Ave. in reference to a disturbance. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male and an adult female who each sustained at least one stab wound to the upper body. Both individuals were transported to local hospitals for treatment of life-threatening injuries.

 Anchorage Police have contacted all involved parties. The motive for the incident, and the relationship between the parties involved, is under investigation.
