UPDATE: SWAT Response: 1200 Block of Juneau Street

At about 3:25 p.m. on January 3, 2024, patrol officers responded to the 1200 block of Juneau street in reference to a warrant service for Travis Eveland. Through the course of the response, Eveland was located in the attic inside of an apartment and did not comply with multiple commands that were given to him to surrender for arrest. APD Special Weapons and Tactical (SWAT) and a K-9 unit responded to the scene to provide additional support. Travis Eveland was apprehended with assistance from a K-9 and SWAT just after 6 p.m.

He was transported to the Anchorage Jail and remanded for two warrants (3AN-25-08394CR) (3AN-25-03431CR) and two counts of resisting arrest for both barricading and attempting to flee from officers who were attempting to take him into custody.
