TRAFFIC: FATALITY c street & 64th Ave

TRAFFIC: ​FATALITY​ ​     ​ 

DATE/TIME OF INCIDENT:  June 19, 2025 / 9:12 PM

UPDATE 6.20.25: On Thursday, June 19th, 2025, at about 9:12 PM,  the Anchorage Police Department and the Anchorage Fire Department responded to C Street near 64th Avenue for a report of a collision with injuries. Upon arrival, it was determined that a Mazda SUV had struck an adult male bicyclist. Despite life-saving attempts, the bicyclist was declared deceased at the scene.  

The driver of the Mazda was identified as STEPHANIE DILL.  DILL was arrested for Manslaughter, DUI, Refusal to Submit Chemical Test, Reckless Driving, and Bribery and was remanded to Hiland Mountain Correctional Complex.

ROAD CLOSURES: ​ Northbound and Southbound C St. is closed between Dowling Rd ​​ and ​ W. 64th Ave ​ while investigators with the Major Collision Investigation Unit (MCIU) process the scene. Please use alternative routes.
