TRAFFIC FATALITY: DEARMOUN RD

At approximately 11:51 AM on June 19, 2025, Anchorage Police and AFD medics responded to DeArmoun Rd. near Elmore Rd. for a report of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle.

AFD medics transported the victim to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.  The State Medical Examiner Office notified APD that the victim had passed away from her injuries on June 28, 2025.

The victim has been identified as 85-year-old Clara Mattice. Next-of-kin notification procedures have been completed.

The driver of the vehicle remained on scene and has been cooperative with the investigation. No charges have been filed at this time.
