TRAFFIC INVESTIGATION: BRAGAW ST AND MOUNTAIN VIEW DRIVE

At approximately 6:17 PM on February 2, 2026, Anchorage Police Department officers were dispatched to the area of Bragaw Street and Mountain View Drive for reports of a vehicle versus pedestrian collision. The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital with what are believed to be life-threatening injuries.

Initial indications are that an adult female pedestrian was struck by a vehicle while crossing Mountain View Drive.  After the collision, the vehicle fled the scene.

The Major Collision Investigations Unit (MCIU) responded to process the scene. The investigation is ongoing; no charges have been filed.
