OUI ARREST: GLENN HIGHWAY

Anchorage, Alaska — February 3, 2026 — The Anchorage Police Department (APD) announced that Mid-shift Patrol Sgt. Corey Adkins has been charged with Operating Under the Influence (OUI) following an incident that occurred on January 31, 2026.

At approximately 2:58 AM on January 31, 2026, APD responded to the area of Mirror Lake and the inbound Glenn Highway for a report of a vehicle in distress (VID). Responding officers determined the vehicle was Adkins’ personal vehicle and confirmed he was off duty at the time of the incident.

Following an investigation, including the administration of Standardized Field Sobriety Tests (SFSTs), Adkins was taken into custody, processed, and later released. Adkins has been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of APD’s administrative investigation and any external legal proceedings.

Adkins has been employed with the Anchorage Police Department since 2016.
