TRAFFIC INVESTIGATION: Northbound Seward Hwy

DATE/TIME OF INCIDENT: April 23, 2026 4:15 PM

NARRATIVE: At 4:15 PM on April 23, 2026, officers responded to the Seward Highway between Dowling and Tudor in reference to a single vehicle collision vehicle collision with injuries.

 Medics arrived and transported the passenger a hospital with non-life-threatening-injuries.

The driver, identified as 22-year-old Ryan Atkinson, has been remanded to Anchorage Jail and charged with DUI and Assault 1.

This case is being investigated by the Major Collision Investigation Unit (MCIU).
