TRAFFIC INVESTIGATION: SEWARD/BENSON

May 31, 2025 09:35am, All New Seward Hwy Lanes between 36th and Benson are open

UPDATE: At approximately 3:04 a.m., APD Dispatch received multiple calls reporting a female lying on the road near the intersection of East Benson Boulevard and the Seward Highway.

Witnesses stated that the adult female had been struck by a vehicle, which then fled the scene.

The female was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.

This is an ongoing investigation.

DATE/TIME OF INCIDENT: ​May 31,2025 03:05hrs

ROAD CLOSURES: ​All northbound lanes of the New Seward Highway are closec between E 36th and Benson while investigators with the Major Collision Investigation Unit (MCIU) process the scene. Please use alternative routes.
