TRAFFIC FATALITY: SEWARD HIGHWAY

ROAD CLOSURES: The Seward Highway is closed between Rabbit Creek and Potter Valley Road. while investigators with the Major Collision Investigation Unit (MCIU) process the scene. Please use alternative routes.

NARRATIVE: At approximately 8:59AM on July 01, 2026, officers responded to in reference to a vehicle collision. What caused the collision is still under investigation. Two individuals were pronounced dead at the scene. Medics arrived and transported a third individual to a local hospital for non-life-threatening-injuries. The victim’s identities will be released once next-of-kin notification procedures have been completed.
